• Welcome to the Lakeshore Power Alliance Program.

Lower Electricity Rates

Eligible residents and small businesses in the Villages of Glenview, Northfield, and Wilmette (collectively called the Lakeshore Power Alliance) are expected to experience lower electricity rates.1

Residents in the Lakeshore Power Alliance communities approved a referendum authorizing community leaders to buy electricity in bulk from a supplier other than ComEd. After an extensive bidding process, the Lakeshore Power Alliance has selected MC Squared Energy Services, LLC (mc2), to provide electricity supply services to member communities. In March of 2015, the Alliance elected to extend the agreement with mc2 through May 2016.
